2026 Tenant Based Rental Assistance: Apply by July 31

Andover Community Trust is now accepting applications for the Tenant Based Rental Assistance program for 2026-2027.

Assistance is made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)’s HOME Program.

In Andover, funds will be available to provide rental subsidies to 4 to 6 income-eligible households to provide a short-term subsidy (up to one year). This would allow a household to pay only 30% of their income for their monthly rent, with this subsidy program paying the remaining balance of the monthly rent amount.

The program is administered by the Andover Community Trust in partnership with tenants and landlords.

Program Details:

  • Tenants contribute 30% of their household income toward rent.

  • The program pays the remaining balance directly to the landlord.

  • Eligibility: Annual household income must not exceed 60% of the area median income (AMI).

  • This is a HUD-supported program, and all documentation will be verified.

  • Funding is limited; not all applicants will be selected.

How to Apply:

  1. Read the requirements for TBRA applications.

  2. Download and complete the application.
