Andover Affordable Condo Receives 18 Applications

Abbot’s Pond condo is only the 2nd affordable home without an age restriction that has come on the market in Andover in 2022. Consequently 18 applications were received and a housing lottery drawing was held. We need to keep creating affordable housing and welcoming a diversity of incomes to this great community.

ACT to facilitate Community Assistance program

The Andover Community Assistance plan has been announced as part of Andover’s overall American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. The plan is designed to provide assistance to Andover residents who find themselves unable to pay rent, mortgage, utility or other housing payments due to unemployment, underemployment or other continuing hardship associated with the Coronavirus pandemic.

ACT Supports Transfer Fee for Affordable Housing

Help us support a new Massachusetts bill to allow local control on placing a small fee of .5% to 2% on higher-end real estate transactions to fund affordable housing. This legislation is intentionally adaptable so that different municipalities can enact the type of transfer fee that works for their community.

Stott Circle Homes Celebrated

GLTS Students Recognized in Andover Townsman

As we hope to complete the east duplex before fall, this June marked the end of Greater Lawrence Technical School students working on the ACT home on Lupine Road. The Andover Townsman published an article, GLTS Students Build Duplex, on the students and the work they have done over the past 3 years on the duplex.
